Hello Reader,

Welcome to Two On Trail: The tale of two individuals on a journey. 😊

We first met each other in Durgapur, West Bengal, India. We were classmates first and from there, embarked on a journey to become friends, companions, partners and since December 2021, husband and wife.

We moved to the US in 2017 and started this website soon after, as a space to explore our individual endeavors and shared experiences. After living together in Baltimore, Maryland for six years between 2018 and 2024, we recently moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Despite our contrasting tastes in life, we share a common love for traveling and exploring global cultures through art, photos, food, music, books, and cinema. We make efforts to document our experiences while coming from our middle-class Bengali backgrounds to the western culture we had to adapt to as immigrants in the US.

Another motivation behind creating this space was to maintain a more sustainable, old-school method of documenting experiences. In the ever-evolving algorithm-driven structure of social media platforms, getting lost and overwhelmed is easy. And yet, as human beings, we have the primal urge to socialize in the limited time we live. We wish to be remembered by the few close people who matter to us and those that care for us. Restrictions on the number of words you can use or the number of photos of a specific aspect-ratio you can upload, and all of that to last for a handful of hours?

With this vision in mind, we created this space to share pieces of our minds with readers like you, who cared to drop by! However, to blend into current trends, we also use other platforms for sharing our thoughts. You’ll see Aniruddha’s boundless fun adventures with his camera on Flickr and Youtube. You’ll learn how Oindrila managed her role in an Environmental Chemistry laboratory during her PhD on YouTube. Furthermore, you’ll find her singing, artwork highlights and traveling memories on Instagram.

Aniruddha dabbles in photography and is often found lost in bookstores anywhere he goes. He is a big supporter of Manchester United FC, and watching a Champions League game at Old Trafford holds top spot on his bucket list. Oindrila likes her weekends indoors, tucked away in her little makeshift art studio, typically enjoying a quiet evening with a cup of coffee and a good show on her iPad. If you visit us without a warning, you might find us preparing a hot meal together in the kitchen!

So feel free to explore! And if you like what you see, please consider subscribing to our website. This will make sure you are notified when a new post comes up.

Welcome to our world of imperfection, and happy reading. 🙂
